The Carnival Museum envisioned our collection displayed as a working carnival typical of the 1930s. Our first effort consists of just these two rides, the vintage carousel and train 292. Our plan is to build on these two attractions in the hopes of recreating a really big show. In the great depression railroad shows consisted of just a very few rides, lots of carnival games and many live tented shows. The Merry-Go-Round was the main attraction.
Trains have always played a major role in the early Canadian shows both as transportation and as attractions. The Great Museum Express is a small family passenger train that caters to small kids and their parents. The Railway Station will be located along side the huge 1947 Conklin Shows Carousel at the big beautiful Chinguacousy City Amusement Park in Brampton.
